My spiritual journey has me seeking to understand the ME that Jesus loves. Of recent years I have participated in an increasing variety of assistance at the Carmelite Centre in Middle Park.
It started with me going to the monthly meetings featuring the writings of various spiritual Christian and non-Christian authors. Over the years the Carmelite Centre has developed into so much more. Recently I attended a workshop of ‘seeing with the heart’…. as a step in the understanding of the spirituality we cannot see with our eyes.
Of special assistance is the Lectio Divina — on those Fridays I am free to attend. I join with others to seek out in a word or a phrase as my response to the next Sunday Gospel. These are the words I share with others. As we reflect on what we are hearing from each other we carry away thoughts in our hearts….. for further reflection.
The Carmelite Centre Calendar of Events there is a wide variety of choices.
And then there is the Carmelite Library……. probably one of the most extensive if not the largest religious library in Australia dedicated to what we cannot see but believe.
