Contemplative, theologian, and social activist, the Cistercian monk Thomas Merton was also an artist, photographer, and poet. This session looks at the stages in Merton’s life through a reading of some of his poems. Creativity as a means to the spiritual life was vital to Merton. We will also look at some of his other art, but the poetry is at the foreground of this biographical exploration.
