This Conversation will begin with a brief overview of the Plenary Council Journey since it formally began in 2018, focusing on the fundamental question: ‘What is God asking of us in Australia today?’
There will be some reflection on the time between the online 1st Assembly in October last year and the personal gathering of 277 Members for the 2nd Assembly in Sydney this July, followed by an outline of the process and outcomes of the 2nd Assembly. This will hopefully lead into reflection and conversation on the significance of the whole Plenary Council for the Church in Australia as a movement of the Spirit, directing the Church as it moves into the future, implementing the Decrees of the Council and being open to whatever the “signs of the times” suggest for further change and development.
