Meditation for Thursday 7th July 2022
There’s an old Oriental proverb that says, “Take from death before it takes from thee.”
In other words if we do not live life consciously we may not be living at all.
Meditation is a practice that when combined with mindful living assists us to live consciously in the present, in the now.
The ancient rule for Christian monks written in the year 512 begins with the strong advice, “Listen, let nothing go by without being open to being nourished by that event in life.”
In other words be mindful to everything.
Be aware, awake, alert … be mindful.
Meditation nourishes this aim.
