Carmel understands prayer as expressing the deepest longings and desires of the heart. Lent is a special time for Vacare Deo i.e. creating a space where we listen more attentively to the voice of God who is love, mercy, and compassion. It is a deep listening. It is being open to God’s transforming love, no matter how it is approaching and it call us to a deeper engagement with the world.
