Event Type

Along with the month of November, the month of July acknowledges more Carmelite Saints in liturgical observances than any other month of the year.  The two principal feasts for the Order, that of its two major Patrons, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Prophet Elijah occur in July.  In this Carmelite Conversation, we will consider the lives and relevance of five of the nine Carmelite Feasts in July, seeking to understand how they can be sources of inspiration, encouragement and intercession for us today.

16th – Our Lady of Mount Carmel

17th – Blessed Teresa of St Augustine

20th – Elijah

24th – Blessed John Soreth

27th – Saint Titus Brandsma

COST OF SESSIONS: Would you shout us a coffee and cake?

The suggested donation to say ‘thank you’ for this session is $10 per person per session. That’s less than the cost of a coffee and cake. Kindly make your contribution to the cost of providing these events here. Thank you for helping us continue our work.

The Carmelite Conversations will continue in 2023 on the first Wednesday of the month from 10.30 am to 12.00pm. All are welcome to join for a particular session or regularly. More details will be given about each of these session closer to the event.
