The first Carmelite Conversations is with Matthew Tonini OCarm exploring Discernment on the Carmelite Way.

The Rule ends with a call to discernment in applying the Rule to practical living. “See that the bounds of common sense are not exceeded, however, for common sense is the guide of the virtues.”

Matthew Tonini is an Australian Carmelite friar who is passionate about living and sharing the riches of Carmelite spirituality – a way of entering more deeply into the mystery of human spirituality and relationship with God.

On the first Wednesday morning of each month we explore a topic related to the rich tradition of Carmelite Spirituality. Each month the session will be led by a person inspired by Carmelite Spirituality and so part of the broad community of the Carmelite Family.
