Malone Room, Carmelite Hall


Following the regular 7pm Thursday night meditation session on Thursday 16 May we will be showing a video that features the latest scientific research into the benefits of meditation. All regular and casual meditators welcome in addition to anyone else who might have an interest in this exciting and developing field of study. Scientific research has given us valuable insights on how meditation works and has been particularly successful in measuring its benefits in assisting psychological well-being, work stress, anxiety and depression. These studies affirm the value of contemplative religious practices many of which have been part of mainstream religious traditions for thousands of years.

This is after the regular Thursday evening session with Peter Thomas. It is held in the Malone Room (first room inside front door of Carmelite Hall on the LHS). Cost: $5.00
