Identifying herself as a poet, hermit and mystic, Christine Valters Paintner is a Benedictine oblate originally from New York City and now living in Galway, on the west coast of Ireland. This month’s session will provide an introduction to the author, and will present excerpts from her works for discussion and reflection, including some of her poems, prayers and creative meditations.

She has written nine books over the past decade and co-authored several more, including: Lectio Divina-The Sacred Art; Water, Wind, Earth and Fire; The Artist’s Rule; The Soul of a Pilgrim; Illuminating the Way: Embracing the Wisdom of Monks and Mystics; Desert Fathers and Mothers: Early Christian Wisdom Sayings; Eyes of the Heart; and The Wisdom of the Body.
