Saturday 1 September, 9.30am – 4pm
The day of reflection on Carmelite Spirituality (The Carmelite Way of Life) will be led by David Hofman O Carm.
Take time out in the relaxing setting at the Carmelite Centre in Middle Park with opportunity to visit Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Carmelite Library.
Fr David will lead us in some reflections on the Carmelite Way and what a short prayer says about living the Carmelite Way. The day will help us to rethink our perception of God and how we understand the context of our relationship. The retreat will also draw attention to the practice of being aware of God’s presence in moments of everyday living.
Themes explored will include:
- Our image of God
- Being part of a pilgrim people – the shared journey
- Support for the spiritual journey with Christ
- Focusing on what is important
There will be time for personal quiet time and prayer as well as interacting with others.
Cost $50 BYO lunch, morning and afternoon tea provided.
