In light of the ever rapidly changing situation regarding COVID-19 and the Victorian Government’s declaration of a State of Emergency, the Carmelite Centre will not offer any group sessions as of close-of-business, Monday 16 March, and staff will work from home. The Carmelite Library will also be closed to the public and group sessions at the Carmelite Centre will be suspended. Pastoral Supervision appointments, and Spiritual Direction appointments, will be available as usual via Skype or phone. This situation will persist for as long as the Victorian State of Emergency persists.
This unprecedented situation is evolving rapidly and we are unsure of next steps. We are concerned to support the health, safety and well-being of all of us, including those we serve in our community. This extraordinary decision is taken in this light. If we can assist in any way to address any anxieties this may cause, pleases contact us.
We will be offering opportunities via the website to join with us in readings, reflections, prayer and study to support you in the spiritual journey. Please keep in touch with us as we create a virtual community of pilgrims on the inner journey of community, service and prayer. Our website will be updated regularly.
Keep well – and stay connected!
Health in the Lord and the Blessings of the Holy Spirit
