Event Type

The idea of spinning straw into gold can be viewed as a metaphor and a way in which we can transform our challenges and afflictions into opportunities and treasures. No matter what difficulties we face, we can be an overcomer as there is always hope. In this session, Cecily will facilitate a dramatized reading of the “Rumpelstiltskin” story. Then we will consider the origin of Rumpelstiltskin, archetypes and symbols, the “Rumpelstiltskin effect”, the value of reading fairy stories, and share our own ‘spinning straw into gold’ stories. So come with an open mind and an open heart to read, explore, express and divulge – entering into the mysterious world of fairy tales where stories and characters become mirrors we gaze into, revealing truths about our own lives and relationships.
