This month’s Carmelite Conversation topic is The Carmelite Rule also known as The Rule of St Albert. Teresa Paradowski has prepared a paper which will be uploaded here soon for pre-reading. The zoom session will be facilitated by Hugh Brown, OCarm.

Questions to consider: What can be drawn from the Rule about the role of prayer in the Church today?
Has your experience during COVID-19 lock-downs, with no access to liturgies in Church buildings, impacted on your understanding of ‘church’? How do you understand ‘church’ and your own participation?
How does the Rule inform a way of life committed to Christ, community and service?

Teresa’s paper can be found here The Carmelite Rule – Teresa

The text of this short Rule can be found here.
