DESCRIPTION:The topic for this Conversation is The Mother of Jesus and the 
 Beloved Disciple and Their Roles in the Spiritual Drama of the Fourth Gosp
 el. It will be facilitated by Hugh Brown OCarm. Mary and the Beloved Disci
 ple appear at pivotal moments in the narrative of the Fourth Gospel. They 
 are integral parts of the symbolic world into which the author wishes to d
 raw his audience so that they can understand and accept Jesus as God's Wor
 d and Son and the source of salvation.\n\nAbout the presenter: High Brown 
 OCarm has worked in the areas of both tertiary and secondary education\, m
 ainly in the area of Scriptural Studies. Also\, he has held a position of 
 responsibility in four parishes and\, for a time\, was both a Secondary Sc
 hool consultant for the Diocese of Sale as well as University Chaplain at 
 Monash University in Gippsland. He is currently doing a Master of Theologi
