Dear Meditators

This week is the final of a series of meditations taken from the Psalms, where the themes of longing, seeking, and quietening allow us to come into God’s presence.This meditation is on Psalm 116 with its words on guietening.

These words are intentional. It’s a time to experience where and if any word or phrase stands out for you.  Take what you need of them into your silence as your centering prayer.
I love the Lord because God has heard my voice and my supplications.
Because God has listened to me,

Therefore I will call on the Lord as long as I live.

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;

Our God is merciful…

Return O my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

I walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

O Lord, I am your servant; you have loosed my bonds.

I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving and

Call on the name of the Lord…Praise the Lord!

As you begin to relax now in body and mind, slow your breathing, and enter your meditation, centering your prayer, focus your in-most being on your will and intention on God’s Presence quietening your heart, remembering that God hears you… has loosened your bonds, and deals bountifully with you, as you walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

Love and every blessing. Kathryn
