FOLLOWING the devastation of Black Saturday women have banded together to help each other with the healing process as communities are rebuilding. Women affected by disaster are creating a ‘new normal’ as they show the power support and reaching out to each other,  Their stories can assist us get to the fundamentals of what women want and need in order to live a healthy and full life even in the face of struggles and disaster.

This International Women’s Day can be an opportunity to not only honour these women but to learn from them. People with deep threads of suffering, resilience, care and connectedness who take the steps necessary to top up reserves so crucial to face life’s challenges.
