Introduction to Dreams Workshop
Facilitated by Donna Ward Monday Sunday 20 May, 2.00 - 4.00pm
Dreams are the language of the Soul. Through understanding our own dreams and their images we discover qualities in ourselves we never knew were there. Regular reflection on dreams, both our own and those of others enriches our understanding of ourselves, others and the life we lead.
This is an opportunity to come and meet the facilitator of our on going dream group, Donna Ward. During this session she will answer your questions about dreams and dreaming, describe the way in which a dream group operates and show participants how to elucidate dreams.
Donna has been a psychotherapist working in the area of depth and transpersonal psychology since 1990. Between 1990 and 1998 she ran her own psychotherapy practice specializing in dream groups, individual psychotherapy and workshops focusing on mythology and symbolism. Donna has a background in welfare management and recently she returned from twelve years living in Perth where she established herself as a writer, editor and publisher. There she ran workshops and retreats on the use of dreams in the writing life among other things. She holds degrees from University of Western Australia in Arts, (Classics and Economics) and Social Work and Social Administration. She has a strong foundation in both psychodynamic and analytic psychology as well as the more recent transpersonal and archetypal schools of psychology which take into account spiritual as well as psychological growth. Donna has undertaken specific training in dreams at the Jung Institute in Switzerland and her dream mentors are Melbourne author and psychotherapist, Peter O'Connor, and Bostonian psychotherapist and author, Robert Bosnak, who now lives in Australia.
